Fire proximity suits are an insulated suit made to keep wearers safe in extremely cold or electrically charged areas. These are typically utilised by personnel in Cryogenics, Electrical Engineering, or other hazardous occupations. The material of the suit is usually electrically conductive to stop the accumulation of static electricity, and the insulation of the suit prevents the wearer's body heat from escaping. Fire proximity suits are worn by a firefighter or volcanologist to protect themselves from extremely high temperatures. Instead of asbestos cloth, these are made of vacuum-deposited aluminized materials. They come in various sizes and designs.
